- Greet and welcome patients and visitors to MUSC Health in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and resolving issues.
- Conduct patient registration and verify insurance information accurately and efficiently.
- Schedule appointments and collect copayments and other payments from patients.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Accurately enter patient information into electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow and timely communication.
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment in the patient waiting area.
- Stay updated on MUSC Health policies and procedures to effectively assist patients and visitors.
- Attend training and development sessions to continuously improve customer service skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
