
Occupational Therapy Assistant II

- Provide exceptional care and support to patients by implementing prescribed treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Collaborate with a team of therapists and healthcare professionals to create individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients' functional abilities and limitations.
- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities that can improve independence and quality of life.
- Assist with the maintenance and organization of treatment equipment and supplies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe treatment environment.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques in occupational therapy and incorporate them into patient care.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Uphold the values and standards of MUSC Health and contribute to a positive and collaborative work culture.
Associate's Degree In Occupational Therapy Assistant (Ota) From An Accredited Program.
Certification And Licensure As An Ota By The National Board For Certification In Occupational Therapy (Nbcot).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Ota, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Various Occupational Therapy Techniques And Interventions.
Excellent Communication, Interpersonal, And Organizational Skills To Effectively Work With Patients, Therapists, And Other Healthcare Team Members.
