1. Assist nursing staff in providing direct patient care, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.

3. Assist with transferring and positioning patients, ensuring their safety and comfort.
4. Collect and label specimens for laboratory testing, and accurately record and report results.
5. Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols.
6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide a positive and supportive experience.
7. Document patient care activities and observations accurately and in a timely manner.
8. Assist with the admission, discharge, and transfer of patients, following established protocols and procedures.
9. Participate in educational and training opportunities to maintain and improve job knowledge and skills.
10. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards of MUSC Health and the nursing department.
11. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
12. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
13. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and huddles to discuss patient care and provide input for improvement.
14. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the nursing staff or supervisor.
