- Assist physicians and surgeons in various procedures and treatments.
- Prepare patients for appointments, surgeries, and procedures by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and other relevant information.
- Administer medications and perform basic medical procedures under the direction of a physician.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: Candidates For The Muscp - Certified Medical Assistant - Surgery Clinics Position At Musc Health North Charleston Must Have Completed An Accredited Medical Assistant Program, Demonstrating A Strong Foundation In Medical Terminology, Anatomy, And Clinical Skills.
Current Musc Health Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Certification: Applicants Must Possess A Current Musc Health Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Certification Or Obtain It Within Six Months Of Hire. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Rigorous Standards Set By Musc Health And Is Equipped To Provide High-Quality Care To Patients.
Experience In A Surgery Clinic Setting: Ideal Candidates For This Position Will Have Previous Experience Working In A Surgery Clinic Setting, With Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures, Pre- And Post-Operative Care, And Sterile Techniques. This Experience Will Allow Them To Seamlessly Integrate Into The Fast-Paced Environment Of A Busy Surgery Clinic.
