
Medical Office Assistant - Endocrinology

- Provide administrative support to healthcare professionals in the Endocrinology department.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Greet and check-in patients, collecting necessary information and updating records as needed.
- Communicate with patients and their families in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Assist with patient intake, including taking vitals, obtaining medical history, and preparing patients for exams.
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure proper coordination of patient care.
- Handle phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate parties.
- Order and maintain office supplies and medical equipment.
- Perform basic medical procedures, such as EKGs and blood draws, under the direction of healthcare professionals.
- Keep up-to-date with medical terminology and procedures to provide accurate information to patients and colleagues.
- Assist with insurance verification and billing processes.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude and demeanor at all times.
Associate's Degree In Medical Office Administration Or Related Field
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Medical Office Setting, Preferably In Endocrinology
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Specifically Related To Endocrinology
Proficiency In Electronic Medical Records Systems And Microsoft Office
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients And Healthcare Professionals In A Professional And Compassionate Manner.
