
Licensed Practical Nurse - Outpatient Float Pool
MUSC Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Outpatient Float Pool team. - Provide high-quality patient care: The LPN will be responsible for delivering exceptional healthcare services to patients in the outpatient setting. This includes administering medications, monitoring patients' vital signs, and providing comfort and support to patients.
- Work as part of a team: The LPN will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, registered nurses, and other allied health staff, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients. They will also be expected to communicate effectively with the team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Demonstrate compassion and empathy: The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of and empathy for the challenges faced by patients and their families. They will be expected to provide compassionate care and support to patients during their appointments.

- Utilize critical thinking skills: The LPN must be able to think critically and make quick and accurate decisions in emergency situations. They must also be able to assess patient needs and provide appropriate interventions.

- Adhere to all policies and procedures: The LPN will be responsible for following all policies and procedures set forth by MUSC Health. This includes infection control protocols, safety regulations, and ethical standards.

Valid Lpn License In The State Of South Carolina: The Candidate Must Possess A Current And Active Lpn License From The South Carolina Board Of Nursing, Allowing Them To Practice As A Nurse In The State.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Nursing Experience: The Candidate Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Lpn, Preferably In An Outpatient Setting. This Experience Will Ensure That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Duties And Responsibilities Of An Lpn In An Outpatient Setting.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Lpn In The Outpatient Float Pool, The Candidate Will Be Working With A Diverse Group Of Patients And Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Build Rapport With Patients And Colleagues Are Crucial For Success In This Role.
Ability To Multitask And Work Independently: The Candidate Should Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively In A Fast-Paced Environment. They Should Also Be Able To Work Independently And Make Sound Clinical Decisions.
Knowledge Of Electronic Health Record (Ehr) Systems: Musc Health Uses An Electronic Health Record System To Document Patient Information And Manage Care. The Candidate Should Be Proficient In Using Ehr Systems Or Be Willing To Undergo Training To Become Proficient Before Starting The Job.
