Licensed Practical Nurse - Inpatient Rehab Unit

- Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in the Inpatient Rehab Unit.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and record patient's vital signs and medical information.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Assist with patient rehabilitation activities and provide emotional support as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on medications, treatments, and care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Continuously assess and evaluate patient progress and communicate any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Provide guidance and support to Nursing Assistants and other team members.
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards, best practices, and regulations related to nursing.
- Demonstrate professionalism and excellent communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Uphold the values and mission of MUSC Health in all interactions and duties.
Valid Lpn License: The Candidate Should Possess A Valid Lpn License From The State Of South Carolina, Indicating That They Have Completed The Necessary Education And Training To Practice As A Licensed Practical Nurse.
Experience In Inpatient Rehab: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In An Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, As This Role Requires Specialized Knowledge And Skills In Caring For Patients With Complex Medical Conditions.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Working In A Fast-Paced Healthcare Environment Requires Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, As Well As The Ability To Work Effectively With A Diverse Team Of Healthcare Professionals.
Knowledge Of Nursing Principles And Best Practices: Candidates Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Nursing Principles And Best Practices, Including Knowledge Of Medication Administration, Wound Care, And Patient Assessment.
Ability To Work Under Pressure: Inpatient Rehab Units Can Be High-Stress Environments, And Candidates Should Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively, While Maintaining A Calm And Professional Demeanor.
