- Oversee and manage all aspects of the General Practice Residency (GPR) program at MUSC Health.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the success and growth of the GPR program.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of residents, faculty, and staff to maintain program standards and compliance with accreditation requirements.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment for residents through mentorship, guidance, and ongoing feedback.
- Develop and revise curriculum and educational materials to align with current best practices and technology in dentistry.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to provide interdisciplinary education opportunities for residents.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection process for GPR residents.
- Coordinate and conduct orientations, evaluations, and meetings for residents and faculty.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for the GPR program, including resident progress and accreditation reports.
- Stay current on industry trends, technology, and advancements in dental education to continuously improve the GPR program.
- Act as a liaison between the GPR program and other departments, external agencies, and organizations.
- Foster a culture of excellence, professionalism, and teamwork within the GPR program and the dental department as a whole.
- Represent the GPR program and MUSC Health at conferences, workshops, and other professional events.
- Develop and manage the GPR program budget, including allocating resources and securing funding opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all institutional policies, procedures, and regulations related to the GPR program.
Advanced Degree In Radiology: A Gpr Program Director At Musc Health Should Possess An Advanced Degree In Radiology, Such As A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) With A Specialization In Radiology. This Qualification Ensures A Strong Understanding Of The Field And The Ability To Oversee A Gpr Program Effectively.
Board Certification In Radiology: The Ideal Candidate For The Gpr Program Director Position Should Be Board Certified In Radiology By The American Board Of Radiology (Abr) Or The American Osteopathic Board Of Radiology (Aobr).
