Emergency Room Technician

MUSC Health is looking for an experienced Emergency Room (ER) Technician to join our team! We are looking for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication and organizational skills, and is passionate about providing excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in an ER setting, as well as a strong background in patient care. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with triage, providing patient care and maintaining a safe environment. 1. Assist with patient triage, ensuring that patients with urgent medical conditions receive priority attention.
2. Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, administering medications, dressing wounds, and other medical procedures.
3. Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition to the medical staff.
4. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and medical staff.
5. Educate patients and families on treatments and medications.
6. Maintain patient records and other medical documents.
7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.
8. Communicate effectively with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for all patients.
9. Participate in continuing education and training to keep up to date with the latest medical advances.
