- Assist physicians and nurses in the Emergency Department with patient care and treatment.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and report any changes to medical staff.
- Administer basic medical procedures such as wound care, splinting, and IV therapy.
- Prepare and restock necessary medical supplies and equipment.
- Transport patients to and from various areas within the hospital.
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during times of crisis.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and treatments.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Remain calm and organized in high-pressure situations.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of emergency medical procedures and protocols.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients and their families.
- Perform other duties as assigned by medical staff or supervisor.
Current Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As An Emergency Department Technician I.
Active Certification As An Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (Aemt) Or Higher.
Proficient In Basic Emergency Procedures And Equipment, Including Iv Placement And Ekg Interpretation.
