As an ED Tech, you will play a crucial role in supporting our emergency department staff and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of patient care.   1. Assist in the triage of patients and provide basic first aid as needed.
  2. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the medical team.
  3. Assist in the transportation of patients to and from different areas of the emergency department.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment.
  5. Collaborate with the nursing and medical staff to provide high-quality care to patients.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing compassionate and empathetic support.
  7. Perform basic clinical tasks such as collecting specimens, performing EKGs, and assisting with minor procedures.
  8. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  9. Assist in the documentation of patient information and maintain accurate records.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge related to emergency care.
  11. Act as a resource for patients and their families, answering questions and addressing concerns.
  12. Respond to emergency situations quickly and effectively, following proper protocols.
  13. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care for patients.
  14. Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to the appropriate personnel.
  15. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including patient confidentiality and code of conduct.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: As An Ed Tech, It Is Essential To Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent To Ensure A Basic Level Of Education And Understanding Of Medical Terminology.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Or Emergency Medical Technician (Emt) Certification: A Cna Or Emt Certification Demonstrates A Level Of Knowledge And Skills Necessary For Providing Direct Patient Care In A Fast-Paced Emergency Department Environment.

  • Previous Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting: Experience Working In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting, Particularly In An Emergency Department, Is Highly Desirable For An Ed Tech Position. This Experience Provides A Strong Understanding Of The Healthcare System And Prepares Individuals For The Demands Of The Job.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Ed Techs Are Often Required To Perform Basic Life Support Measures, Such As Cpr, In Emergency Situations. Having A Current Bls Certification Is A Crucial Qualification For This Role.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Ed Techs Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Family Members, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A High-Stress Environment. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Providing Quality Patient Care And Working Effectively In A Team.
