- Collaborate with physicians, physicists, and therapists to develop individualized treatment plans for cancer patients.

- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all treatment plans and procedures.
- Communicate with patients and their families to explain treatment processes and address any concerns.

- Contribute to research initiatives and assist with data collection and analysis.
- Work collaboratively with other dosimetrists and provide support and guidance to new team members.

- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and uphold ethical standards in all interactions.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and make recommendations for improvement.

Bachelor's Degree In Medical Dosimetry Or Related Field: A Strong Educational Background In Medical Dosimetry Or A Related Field Is A Crucial Qualification For This Position. This Degree Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills In Radiation Physics, Anatomy, And Treatment Planning.
Certification By The Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (Mdcb): In Order To Practice As A Dosimetrist, Certification From The Mdcb Is Required. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Necessary Educational And Clinical Requirements To Perform The Job Effectively.
Experience In Radiation Therapy Treatment Planning: Previous Experience In Radiation Therapy Treatment Planning Is A Must For A Dosimetrist At Hollings Cancer Center. This Experience Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Develop Accurate And Effective Treatment Plans For Cancer Patients.
Strong Understanding Of Medical Imaging Technology: A Thorough Understanding Of Medical Imaging Technology Is Essential For A Dosimetrist. This Includes Knowledge Of Ct, Mri, And Pet Scans, As Well As Their Role In Treatment Planning And Dose Calculation.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: As Part Of The Multidisciplinary Team At Musc Health, A Dosimetrist Must Have Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills.
