  1. Develop and implement strategic plans for clinical education programs in alignment with the overall goals and objectives of MUSC Health.
  2. Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the clinical education department, including budgeting, staffing, and scheduling.
  3. Collaborate with other departments and leadership to identify and address educational needs and opportunities within the organization.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with academic institutions and other external partners to facilitate clinical education opportunities and partnerships.
  5. Lead the design, development, and delivery of educational programs and curriculum to ensure high-quality and evidence-based content.
  6. Evaluate the effectiveness of clinical education programs through data analysis and feedback from stakeholders, and make necessary modifications for continuous improvement.
  7. Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards related to clinical education programs.
  8. Provide mentorship and guidance to clinical educators and other staff within the department.
  9. Stay abreast of current trends, best practices, and advancements in clinical education and incorporate them into program development.
  10. Represent MUSC Health and promote the organization's mission and values at conferences, workshops, and other professional events related to clinical education.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Clinical Experience: A Director Of Clinical Education At Musc Health Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Healthcare Setting, With A Strong Understanding Of Current Medical Practices, Procedures, And Technologies.

  • Advanced Degree In Healthcare Or Education: A Master's Degree In A Related Field Such As Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or Education Is Essential For This Role. A Doctorate Degree Is Preferred.

  • Teaching And Leadership Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Developing And Delivering Educational Programs, As Well As Strong Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage A Team Of Educators And Clinical Instructors.

  • Knowledge Of Accreditation Standards: Musc Health Is Committed To Maintaining The Highest Standards Of Quality And Safety In Healthcare Education. The Director Of Clinical Education Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Accreditation Requirements, Including Those Of The Commission On Accreditation Of Healthcare Management Education (Cahme).

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Key Liaison Between Musc Health And Its Affiliated Educational Institutions, The Director Of Clinical Education Must Have Exceptional Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Build And Maintain Relationships With Faculty, Students, And Other Stakeholders.
