- Develop and implement strategic plans for clinical education programs in alignment with the overall goals and objectives of MUSC Health.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the clinical education department, including budgeting, staffing, and scheduling.
- Collaborate with other departments and leadership to identify and address educational needs and opportunities within the organization.
- Develop and maintain relationships with academic institutions and other external partners to facilitate clinical education opportunities and partnerships.
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of educational programs and curriculum to ensure high-quality and evidence-based content.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of clinical education programs through data analysis and feedback from stakeholders, and make necessary modifications for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards related to clinical education programs.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to clinical educators and other staff within the department.
- Stay abreast of current trends, best practices, and advancements in clinical education and incorporate them into program development.
- Represent MUSC Health and promote the organization's mission and values at conferences, workshops, and other professional events related to clinical education.
Extensive Clinical Experience: A Director Of Clinical Education At Musc Health Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Healthcare Setting, With A Strong Understanding Of Current Medical Practices, Procedures, And Technologies.
Advanced Degree In Healthcare Or Education: A Master's Degree In A Related Field Such As Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or Education Is Essential For This Role. A Doctorate Degree Is Preferred.
Teaching And Leadership Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Developing And Delivering Educational Programs, As Well As Strong Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage A Team Of Educators And Clinical Instructors.
Knowledge Of Accreditation Standards: Musc Health Is Committed To Maintaining The Highest Standards Of Quality And Safety In Healthcare Education. The Director Of Clinical Education Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Accreditation Requirements, Including Those Of The Commission On Accreditation Of Healthcare Management Education (Cahme).
