  1. Develop and implement strategic plans for clinical applications and information solutions to support the organization's goals and objectives.
  2. Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of clinical applications and information systems, ensuring they meet the needs of our organization and comply with industry standards.
  3. Lead a team of professionals responsible for the implementation and support of clinical applications and information solutions.
  4. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to identify and prioritize clinical application needs and develop solutions to improve workflow and patient care.

  7. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards, including HIPAA, HITECH, and Meaningful Use.
  8. Provide guidance and support to end-users, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure optimal use of clinical applications and information solutions.
  9. Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure effective implementation and ongoing support of clinical applications and information solutions.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures related to clinical applications and information solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Healthcare Informatics Or Related Field: A Director Of Clinical Applications/Information Solutions At Musc Health Should Possess An Advanced Degree In Healthcare Informatics, Health Information Management, Or A Related Field. This Qualification Demonstrates A Deep Understanding Of The Technology And Data Systems Used In Healthcare Settings.

  • Extensive Experience In Healthcare It: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Experience In Healthcare It, With A Proven Track Record Of Success In Implementing And Managing Clinical Applications And Information Solutions. This Experience Should Include Working With Electronic Health Records, Data Analytics, And Other Healthcare Technologies.
