- Provide safe and effective anesthesia care to patients of all ages and medical backgrounds.
- Administer anesthesia medications and monitor patients' vital signs during surgeries, procedures, and other medical treatments.
- Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, including pre-operative assessments, anesthesia notes, and post-operative evaluations.
- Monitor and respond to changes in patients' conditions during and after anesthesia administration.
- Educate patients and their families about the anesthesia process and address any questions or concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards, including infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities to maintain and improve clinical skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by actively collaborating with and supporting other members of the healthcare team.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times when interacting with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice in all job duties.
- Continuously strive to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction through quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practices.
- Act as a role model and mentor for other healthcare staff, students, and residents.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency situations as needed.
- Maintain a strong commitment to the mission and values of MUSC Health.
A Valid And Current Certification As A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (Crna) From The National Board Of Certification And Recertification For Nurse Anesthetists (Nbcrna).
A Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience Working As A Crna In A Hospital Or Surgical Setting.
A Strong Understanding Of Anesthesia Techniques, Medications, And Equipment, As Well As Experience Administering Anesthesia To A Diverse Patient Population.
Excellent Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And Make Quick Decisions In High-Pressure Situations.
A Commitment To Ongoing Education And Professional Development, With A Willingness To Stay Current On Advancements In The Field Of Anesthesia And Incorporate Evidence-Based Practices Into Daily Practice.
