- Administer anesthesia to patients before, during, and after medical procedures using a variety of techniques and medications.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including anesthesia dosage, patient reactions, and other pertinent information.
- Stay up-to-date with current research and advancements in anesthesia techniques, medications, and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to educate them about the anesthesia process and address any concerns or questions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe working environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing best practices for anesthesia care.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to nursing and support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Maintain professional standards and ethics in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Attend and actively participate in department meetings and trainings to stay informed about policies, procedures, and changes in the healthcare industry.
- Continuously evaluate and improve personal performance and clinical skills through self-assessment and seeking feedback from colleagues and supervisors.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify and implement cost-effective practices while maintaining high-quality patient care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures and comply with state and federal regulations related to anesthesia practice.
- Provide excellent customer service by treating patients, families, and colleagues with respect, empathy, and compassion.
Current Crna Certification: Applicants Must Possess A Current Certification As A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (Crna) From The National Board Of Certification And Recertification For Nurse Anesthetists (Nbcrna).
Master's Degree In Nurse Anesthesia: Candidates Must Have A Master's Degree In Nurse Anesthesia From An Accredited Program.
State Licensure: Applicants Must Hold A Valid And Unrestricted License To Practice As A Registered Nurse And Advanced Practice Nurse In The State Of South Carolina.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Crna Is Required For This Position.
Acls And Bls Certification: Candidates Must Possess Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) And Basic Life Support (Bls) Certifications.
