1. Administer anesthesia to patients before, during, and after medical procedures using a variety of techniques and medications.
2. Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed to ensure their safety and comfort.
3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
4. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including anesthesia dosage, patient reactions, and other pertinent information.
5. Stay up-to-date with current research and advancements in anesthesia techniques, medications, and equipment.
6. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to educate them about the anesthesia process and address any concerns or questions.
7. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe working environment for patients and staff.
8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing best practices for anesthesia care.
9. Provide guidance and mentorship to nursing and support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
10. Maintain professional standards and ethics in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
11. Attend and actively participate in department meetings and trainings to stay informed about policies, procedures, and changes in the healthcare industry.
12. Continuously evaluate and improve personal performance and clinical skills through self-assessment and seeking feedback from colleagues and supervisors.
13. Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify and implement cost-effective practices while maintaining high-quality patient care.
14. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures and comply with state and federal regulations related to anesthesia practice.
15. Provide excellent customer service by treating patients, families, and colleagues with respect, empathy, and compassion.
