- Dispensing Medications: As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will be responsible for dispensing medications to patients and ensuring accuracy and safety in medication administration.
- Reviewing Patient Medication Profiles: You will be responsible for reviewing patient medication profiles to identify potential drug interactions or contraindications and make necessary adjustments.
- Collaborating with Healthcare Team: You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the most appropriate and effective medication therapy for patients.
- Providing Patient Education: You will be responsible for educating patients on their medications, including proper dosage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
- Monitoring Medication Therapy: You will monitor patients' response to medication therapy and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintaining Accurate Records: It is your responsibility to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all medications dispensed and patient interactions.
- Staying Current with Industry Developments: You will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the pharmaceutical industry, new drugs, and treatment guidelines.
- Participating in Quality Improvement Initiatives: You will participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the safe and effective use of medications.
- Training and Mentoring: As a PRN Clinical Pharmacist, you may be responsible for training and mentoring pharmacy students, residents, and new pharmacists.
- Adhering to Policies and Procedures: You will adhere to all pharmacy policies and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Providing Excellent Customer Service: As a representative of MUSC Health, you will provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and colleagues.

- Participating in On-Call Schedule: As a PRN Clinical Pharmacist, you may be required to participate in an on-call schedule to provide emergency pharmacy services.
Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited School Of Pharmacy.
Current Licensure As A Pharmacist In The State Of South Carolina.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Pharmacy Setting, Preferably In An Inpatient Hospital Setting.
Knowledge Of Infectious Disease And Antimicrobial Stewardship Principles.
Experience With Electronic Medical Records (Emr) And Pharmacy Automation Systems.
