  1. Perform a variety of microbiological tests and analyses in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  2. Identify and characterize microorganisms in clinical specimens using various laboratory techniques, including molecular and biochemical methods.
  3. Analyze and interpret test results to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases.
  4. Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning.
  5. Follow strict safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  6. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide accurate and timely microbial data to aid in patient care.
  7. Stay current with advances in microbiological techniques and technologies and incorporate them into laboratory practices.
  8. Ensure quality control and assurance measures are followed to maintain accuracy and precision of test results.
  9. Develop and implement new laboratory procedures and techniques as needed.
  10. Train and mentor laboratory staff on proper laboratory techniques and procedures.
  11. Communicate test results and findings to healthcare providers and participate in interdisciplinary rounds and meetings.
  12. Contribute to research studies and publications related to microbiology and infectious diseases.
  13. Maintain accurate and organized records of all laboratory activities and results.
  14. Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards and assist with audits and inspections.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Microbiology Or A Related Field

  • Previous Experience Working In A Clinical Laboratory Setting, Preferably In Microbiology

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Techniques And Procedures Used In Microbiological Testing

  • Familiarity With Regulatory Requirements And Compliance In A Clinical Laboratory Setting

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret And Analyze Complex Data And Results Accurately
