
Clinical Informatics Analyst

- Work closely with clinicians, IT professionals, and other stakeholders to support and enhance the use of electronic health records and other clinical systems.
- Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and opportunities for improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain data reports and dashboards to provide insights and inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement clinical workflows and processes.
- Conduct user training and provide ongoing support to ensure effective use of clinical systems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in clinical informatics to drive innovation and recommend improvements.
- Identify and troubleshoot system issues, and escalate to appropriate parties for resolution.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards related to clinical informatics.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the clinical informatics program.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of system configurations, changes, and updates.
- Act as a liaison between clinical and IT teams to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend process improvements to optimize the use of clinical systems.
- Mentor and train junior clinical informatics team members.
- Adhere to organizational policies and procedures and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Informatics Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Is Typically Required For A Clinical Informatics Analyst Position At Musc Health. This Provides A Foundation In Both Healthcare And Technology, Which Are Essential For This Role.
Experience With Electronic Health Records (Ehrs): Musc Health Relies Heavily On Electronic Health Records To Store And Manage Patient Data. Therefore, Candidates For A Clinical Informatics Analyst Position Should Have Experience Working With Ehr Systems, Such As Epic, And Be Familiar With Their Structure And Functionality.
