  1. Provide compassionate and effective mental health counseling services to patients in a clinical setting.

  3. Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients' mental health status.
  4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.
  5. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
  6. Educate patients and their families on coping strategies and resources for managing mental health concerns.
  7. Stay up-to-date on best practices and evidence-based interventions in the field of mental health counseling.
  8. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of patient care.

  10. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance counseling skills and knowledge.
  11. Serve as an advocate for patients and their mental health needs within the healthcare system.
  12. Collaborate with community organizations and resources to provide additional support and services for patients.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and respect for patient privacy in all interactions.
  14. Adhere to all MUSC Health policies and procedures.
  15. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of counseling interventions and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  16. Maintain a positive and collaborative attitude with colleagues and contribute to a supportive and inclusive team culture.
  17. Prioritize patient safety and take appropriate action in emergency situations.
  18. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure the best possible care.
  19. Act as an ambassador for MUSC Health by promoting the organization's mission and values.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned by supervising clinical staff.

Job Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree In Counseling Or A Related Field, Such As Psychology Or Social Work.

  • Licensure As A Clinical Counselor In The State Of South Carolina.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Providing Counseling Services In A Clinical Setting.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Evidence-Based Therapy Techniques, Such As Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy And Motivational Interviewing.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Establish Rapport And Build Therapeutic Relationships With Clients From Diverse Backgrounds.
