
Child Life Specialist Pediatric Outpatient Oncology
MUSC Health is seeking an experienced and compassionate Child Life Specialist to work with pediatric patients receiving outpatient oncology care. The ideal candidate will be an expert in providing emotional and developmental support to children and their families in order to foster resilience and positive coping skills. The Child Life Specialist must be able to work both independently and collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team in order to ensure the best outcomes for the pediatric patients.This position requires an individual with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in child life, psychology, education, or a related field, as well as at least two years of experience in a pediatric healthcare setting. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, be able to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks, and demonstrate the ability to remain calm and supportive under stressful conditions. Additionally, the successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the diverse needs of children and their families, and the ability to think critically while providing care.
