  1. Oversee all financial operations of MUSC Health including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

Job Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree In Finance Or Accounting: A Chief Financial Officer (Cfo) At Musc Health Must Possess A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or A Related Field. Many Employers Prefer Candidates With A Master's Degree In Business Administration (Mba) Or A Certified Public Accountant (Cpa) Certification.

  • Extensive Healthcare Industry Experience: The Ideal Candidate For The Cfo Position At Musc Health Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Finance, Accounting, Or Related Roles In The Healthcare Industry. This Experience Should Include A Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Financial Operations, Reimbursement Models, And Regulations.

  • Strong Analytical And Strategic Thinking Skills: As A Key Leader In The Organization, The Cfo Must Possess Strong Analytical Abilities And Be Able To Think Strategically To Make Sound Financial Decisions. This Includes The Ability To Analyze Complex Financial Data, Identify Trends, And Make Recommendations To Improve Financial Performance.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Cfo At Musc Health Will Be Responsible For Communicating Financial Information To Various Stakeholders, Including Executives, Board Members, And Staff. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building Relationships And Conveying Financial Information Clearly And Effectively.

  • Leadership And Management Experience: The Cfo Will Oversee The Finance And Accounting Departments At Musc Health, So Previous Experience In A Leadership Or Management Role Is Required. This Includes The Ability To Lead And Develop A Team, Manage Budgets, And Make Strategic Decisions To Drive Organizational Success.
