We are currently seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to join our Medical Progressive Mobility Unit on a PRN basis.   1. Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  2. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature.
  3. Assist with transferring and positioning patients to ensure their comfort and safety.
  4. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive and caring environment.
  5. Observe and report any changes in patients' physical or mental conditions to the nursing staff.
  6. Assist with feeding and maintaining proper nutrition for patients as directed by healthcare team.
  7. Ensure cleanliness and organization of patients' rooms and common areas.
  8. Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients.
  9. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans for patients.
  10. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
  11. Attend and participate in team meetings, trainings, and educational opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills.
  12. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with patients, families, and coworkers.
  13. Adhere to MUSC Health's policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations and code of conduct.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the unit manager or nursing staff.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Certification: The Applicant Must Have A Valid Certified Nurse Assistant (Cna) Certification From An Accredited Program.

  • Previous Experience: Prior Experience As A Cna In A Medical Progressive Mobility Unit Is Preferred. Candidates With Experience In Other Medical Units Or Facilities May Also Be Considered.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Especially As It Pertains To Progressive Mobility And Rehabilitation.

  • Physical Stamina: This Position Requires Frequent Lifting And Moving Of Patients, As Well As Standing For Extended Periods Of Time. The Candidate Must Be Physically Able To Meet These Demands.

  • Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial In A Healthcare Setting. The Candidate Should Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Compassionately With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
