  1. Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing cardiothoracic procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
  2. Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed.
  3. Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement an anesthesia plan tailored to each patient's specific needs.
  4. Provide pre-operative consultations and assessments to ensure patients are well-informed and prepared for their procedure.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patients' medical history, anesthesia administration, and any adverse reactions.
  6. Stay current with advancements and best practices in cardiothoracic anesthesia to provide the highest quality care.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to establish trust and ensure a positive healthcare experience.
  8. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and effective treatment plans.
  10. Participate in departmental meetings and trainings to stay updated on policies, procedures, and protocols.
  11. Serve as a mentor and resource for other anesthesiologists and healthcare professionals.
  12. Comply with all legal and ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality.

Job Qualifications

  • Board Certification: A Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist Must Be Board Certified In Anesthesiology And Have Specialized Training And Experience In Cardiothoracic Anesthesia.

  • Experience In Cardiothoracic Anesthesia: Candidates For This Position Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Providing Anesthesia For Cardiothoracic Surgeries, Including Heart And Lung Transplants, Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting, And Valve Repair Or Replacement.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Cardiovascular Physiology: A Thorough Understanding Of Cardiovascular Physiology Is Crucial For A Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist In Order To Provide Safe And Effective Anesthesia For Complex Cardiothoracic Procedures.

  • Ability To Work Prn: This Position Requires The Ability To Work As Needed, Which May Include Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays. Candidates Should Have A Flexible Schedule And Be Able To Respond To Last-Minute Scheduling Needs.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team, A Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals And Ensure The Safety And Well-Being Of Patients During Surgery.
