Job Description

Are you a Licensed Master Social Worker with a passion for helping patients with complex respiratory conditions? MUSC Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate social worker to join our team as a Bronchiectasis and NTM Licensed Master Social Worker. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients with bronchiectasis and nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) lung disease. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of patients and their families, and who has a strong understanding of the unique challenges and needs of those living with these conditions.   1. Provide comprehensive social work services to patients with bronchiectasis and NTM lung disease.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
  3. Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide ongoing support and counseling to patients and their families.
  4. Advocate for patients and help them navigate the complex healthcare system.
  5. Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and available resources.
  6. Assist patients in accessing community resources and support services.
  7. Coordinate and facilitate support groups for patients with bronchiectasis and NTM lung disease.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient interactions and progress.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for patients.
  10. Stay informed about advancements in respiratory care and incorporate new knowledge into practice.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  12. Comply with all ethical and legal standards of social work practice.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  14. Attend team meetings and provide input on patient care and treatment planning.
  15. Serve as a resource and mentor for less experienced social workers and students.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Social Work: A Qualified Candidate For This Position Should Possess A Master's Degree In Social Work From An Accredited University.

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Lcsw): The Ideal Candidate Should Hold A Valid And Current Lcsw License In The State Of South Carolina.

  • Experience In Bronchiectasis And Ntm Management: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working With Patients Diagnosed With Bronchiectasis And Ntm, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Psychosocial Support And Resources: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Psychosocial Impact Of Bronchiectasis And Ntm On Patients And Their Families, As Well As Knowledge Of Available Resources For Support.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team, The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Work Effectively With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
