- Develop and implement simulation-based curricula and training programs for healthcare students.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate simulation into existing educational programs.
- Design and facilitate simulation sessions for students, utilizing best practices in simulation education.
- Lead and mentor simulation staff, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
- Research and stay current on simulation trends, technology, and best practices in education.
- Work with healthcare professionals to identify and address learning needs through simulation.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with other academic programs and simulation centers to share best practices and resources.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of simulation equipment and software.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of simulation programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with the academic leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans for the simulation center.
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees to contribute to the overall success of the academic program.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in simulation education.
- Serve as a liaison between the simulation center and external stakeholders, representing MUSC Health and promoting our mission and values.
- Comply with all relevant healthcare and educational regulations and standards.
- Continuously evaluate and update simulation scenarios and content to ensure alignment with current healthcare practices and standards.
5+ Years Of Experience In Healthcare Simulation Education And Training, With A Strong Understanding Of Simulation Center Operations And Curriculum Development.
Master's Degree In Nursing, Education, Or A Related Field, With A Focus On Simulation-Based Learning.
Demonstrated Leadership Skills, With Experience In Managing A Team And Collaborating With Multiple Stakeholders, Including Faculty, Staff, And Students.
Knowledge Of Current Trends And Best Practices In Healthcare Simulation, Including The Use Of Technology And Innovative Teaching Methods.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Present And Facilitate Educational Sessions And Foster A Positive Learning Environment.
