Advanced Degree In Nursing Or Physician Assistant Studies: The Ideal Candidate For The Advanced Practice Provider Position At Hoffmeyer Primary Care Should Possess An Advanced Degree In Either Nursing Or Physician Assistant Studies. This Could Include A Master Of Science In Nursing (Msn) Or A Master Of Physician Assistant Studies (Mpas) Degree.
Current State Licensure And Certification: The Individual Must Hold A Valid And Current State License To Practice As A Nurse Practitioner (Np) Or Physician Assistant (Pa) In South Carolina. They Should Also Be Certified By A Recognized National Board, Such As The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc) Or The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa).
Clinical Experience In Primary Care: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working As A Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant In A Primary Care Setting. This Experience Should Include Managing A Diverse Patient Population, Conducting Physical Exams, Diagnosing And Treating Illnesses, And Managing Chronic Conditions.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Primary Care Provider, The Individual Will Be Expected To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Should Possess Excellent Interpersonal Skills To Establish Rapport With Patients And Be Able To Effectively Collaborate With The Primary Care Team.
