Accounts Payable Analyst

MUSC Health is seeking an experienced and detail oriented Accounts Payable Analyst to join our team. This position will require strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work well with others in a team setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and reconciling accounts payable transactions while ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.The ideal candidate for this position will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and have a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable. Additionally, they should be knowledgeable of applicable accounting principles, practices, and procedures and have a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. Most importantly, the candidate should have a strong commitment to accuracy and possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
2. Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
3. Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions.
5. Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers in a timely manner.
6. Work collaboratively with other departments to resolve accounts payable issues.
7. Prepare and submit monthly reports to management.
8. Monitor and review aging reports to ensure timely payments of invoices.
9. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the accounts payable process.
10. Assist with year-end financial reporting.
