- Conduct routine procedures such as animal handling, injections, and blood collection with precision and attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of animal care and research procedures.
- Oversee and train junior technicians in laboratory animal care and procedures.
- Monitor and maintain animal housing conditions to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and standards.
- Collaborate with researchers to plan and execute research protocols involving laboratory animals.
- Identify and report any abnormal animal behaviors or health concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Stay up-to-date on current regulations and best practices in comparative medicine to ensure ethical and humane treatment of animals.
- Assist with the procurement and inventory of necessary supplies and equipment for animal care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new research techniques and procedures.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

- Contribute to the overall mission and goals of the comparative medicine department and the Mount Sinai Health System.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Biology, Animal Science, Or Veterinary Technology.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working In A Laboratory Animal Facility, With At Least 1 Year In A Supervisory Role.
Aalas Certification At The Latg Level Or Above.
Thorough Knowledge Of Applicable Federal, State, And Local Regulations Related To The Use And Care Of Laboratory Animals.
Strong Organizational And Communication Skills, With Demonstrated Ability To Manage And Train A Team Of Technicians.
