- Perform dialysis treatments on patients according to established protocols and procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any abnormalities to the nurse or physician
- Prepare and maintain dialysis equipment and supplies
- Ensure proper infection control measures are followed during treatments
- Educate patients and their families on self-care techniques and dialysis treatment process
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients during treatments
- Respond quickly and efficiently to emergency situations
- Adhere to all safety and regulatory standards and guidelines
- Attend ongoing training and educational opportunities to stay updated on best practices in dialysis care
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure quality care delivery
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Certification As A Dialysis Technician: Applicants Must Have A Valid Certification As A Dialysis Technician From A Recognized Institution Or Organization.
Experience In Dialysis Setting: Candidates Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Dialysis Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Medical Center.
Knowledge Of Dialysis Equipment: Applicants Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Equipment Used In Dialysis Treatments, Including Hemodialysis Machines, Water Treatment Systems, And Blood Glucose Monitoring Devices.
Communication And Teamwork Skills: The Per Diem Dialysis Technician Will Be Working Closely With Other Healthcare Professionals And Patients, So Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential For This Role.
Flexibility And Availability: As A Per Diem Position, Candidates Must Be Able To Work On An As-Needed Basis And Have A Flexible Schedule To Accommodate Varying Shifts And Patient Needs. This May Include Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays.
