Moss Adams, a national accounting and consulting firm, is looking for a talented and knowledgeable Tax Controversy Manager to join our team. We’re seeking an experienced professional who can handle the challenges of managing our clients’ tax controversies to ensure their compliance with tax laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the complexities of tax controversy, an eye for detail, and exceptional communication skills.The successful candidate will need to be able to deliver accurate services to our clients while maintaining the highest ethical standards. The Tax Controversy Manager will be responsible for managing client tax controversy engagements, monitoring changes in tax laws and regulations, and providing advice and guidance to clients.We’re looking for someone who is organized and highly motivated, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in tax controversy management. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred, but not required. Responsibilities:
- Manage client tax controversy engagements, including assessing potential risks and liabilities, and providing advice and guidance to clients.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, and ensure that clients are compliant with all applicable regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies for resolving tax controversies.
- Review client documents and records and identify areas of non-compliance.
- Provide advice and guidance on strategies to mitigate potential risks and liabilities.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as attorneys and accountants, to ensure effective resolution of tax controversies.
- Maintain high ethical standards in all interactions with clients and other professionals.
- Prepare and present reports on tax controversy engagements to internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in the field of tax controversy.
