
State and Local Tax Manager - M&A

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals to provide innovative tax solutions to clients.The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in state and local tax compliance and consulting, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions. This individual must also have a successful track record of managing client relationships, with the ability to collaborate with other professionals to develop effective client solutions.To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, and be a CPA or have a Master’s degree in taxation. Responsibilities:
- Provide innovative tax solutions to clients in the area of state and local tax compliance and consulting, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.
- Manage client relationships, and collaborate with other professionals to develop effective client solutions.
- Identify opportunities and challenges when completing state and local tax planning and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and local regulations.
- Provide guidance and technical support to clients in areas of state and local taxes.
- Prepare and analyze tax returns, financial statements, and other related documents.
- Advise clients on tax strategies that are compliant with state and local laws.
- Develop and implement tax planning initiatives to minimize client’s tax liabilities.
- Research complex tax issues and provide recommendations to clients.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and local tax laws.
