Government Internal Audit Senior

Moss Adams is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our Government Internal Audit team as a Senior. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, have an aptitude for problem-solving, and a passion for internal audit.This role requires an experienced candidate with strong technical knowledge and skills in accounting, auditing, and data analytics. A successful candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience in public accounting, internal audit, or a related field, along with a CPA license or certification in an applicable area. Responsibilities:

1. Lead and participate in the planning, execution, and reporting of audit engagements for clients in government and public sectors.
2. Conduct risk assessments and develop audit plans and programs.
3. Develop and document audit objectives, scope, and testing procedures.
4. Manage audit engagements and ensure timely completion of work.
5. Utilize data analytics to identify trends, red flags, and anomalies in financial and operational data.
6. Test internal controls in accordance with internal auditing standards.
7. Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for corrective action.
8. Prepare audit reports and present findings to clients.
9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
10. Stay informed of changes in auditing and accounting standards, regulations, and laws.
