Job Description

At Morgan Stanley, we are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Wealth Management Branch Examiner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of examinations related to the day-to-day operations of our wealth management branches. You should have a strong understanding of the securities industry and proven experience in financial regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You must possess a deep knowledge of the laws, rules, and regulations related to the wealth management industry. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform examinations of the day-to-day operations of wealth management branches, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, rules and regulations.
  2. Conduct on-site visits to assess the financial regulatory compliance of the branches.
  3. Analyze financial statements, account activities, customer complaints, and other relevant documents to identify any potential risks.
  4. Develop and maintain positive relationships with branch personnel and clients.
  5. Provide guidance to branch personnel on regulatory and compliance matters.
  6. Prepare detailed reports on compliance findings and recommend corrective measures where necessary.
  7. Monitor changes in the wealth management industry and assess their impact on operations.
  8. Remain up-to-date with the latest developments in the financial services industry.
  9. Assist with training and onboarding of new branch personnel.
  10. Participate in internal meetings and conferences to discuss regulatory matters.
