Secured Lending Group Underwriter

Morgan Stanley is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Secured Lending Group Underwriter who will be responsible for processing and approving loan applications. Responsibilities:

1. Review loan applications and assess creditworthiness of applicants, making sure the loan request meets the bank’s lending criteria.
2. Perform financial and risk analysis on loan applications to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
3. Analyze financial statements and credit reports to determine repayment capacity of loan applicants.
4. Prepare loan documents, including credit agreements, promissory notes, security documents, and other necessary paperwork.
5. Work with other departments to process loan applications, manage documents, and resolve customer inquiries.
6. Monitor loan accounts to ensure timely repayment of loans.
7. Maintain records of loan activity and review loan portfolios on a regular basis.
8. Remain current on changes in the banking regulations and industry trends.
9. Work collaboratively with other team members in a fast-paced environment.
10. Provide excellent customer service and communication to both internal and external customers.
