  1. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies at the local, national, and international level.
  2. Monitor and interpret regulatory changes and developments to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to implement and maintain policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements.
  4. Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and recommend remedial actions.
  5. Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings in a timely and accurate manner.
  6. Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory policies and requirements, providing guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders.
  7. Participate in regulatory examinations and audits, coordinating responses and remediation efforts as needed.
  8. Communicate with regulators to address inquiries, requests for information, and any potential compliance issues.
  9. Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging trends in regulatory relations to continuously improve processes and procedures.
  10. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on regulatory policies and procedures.
  11. Support the development and implementation of the company's overall regulatory relations strategy.
  12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a consistent approach to regulatory compliance across the organization.
  13. Analyze and report on regulatory trends and issues, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  14. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all regulatory interactions and communications.
  15. Represent the company at industry conferences and events related to regulatory relations.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Financial Regulations: A Successful Regulatory Relations Professional Must Possess A Deep Understanding Of The Complex Regulatory Landscape In Which Morgan Stanley Operates. This Includes Knowledge Of Laws Such As The Dodd-Frank Act, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, And Basel Iii, As Well As Regulatory Bodies Such As The Sec And Finra.

  • Strong Communication And Relationship-Building Skills: As The Primary Point Of Contact For Regulatory Agencies, The Vp Of Regulatory Relations Must Be An Effective Communicator And Relationship-Builder. This Includes The Ability To Clearly Articulate Complex Regulatory Issues And Build Strong Working Relationships With Regulators.

  • Experience In The Financial Services Industry: A Strong Background In The Financial Services Industry, Particularly In Areas Such As Compliance, Risk Management, Or Regulatory Affairs, Is Essential For This Role. This Experience Will Provide A Solid Foundation For Understanding And Navigating The Regulatory Landscape.

  • Leadership And Strategic Thinking: The Vp Of Regulatory Relations Must Have Proven Leadership Skills, As This Role Involves Managing A Team Of Professionals And Coordinating With Various Internal Stakeholders. In Addition, The Ability To Think Strategically And Anticipate Potential Regulatory Challenges Is Crucial.

  • Regulatory Compliance Expertise: A Successful Regulatory Relations Professional Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Regulatory Compliance Requirements And The Ability To Ensure That The Organization Is In Compliance With All Applicable Laws And Regulations. This Includes The Ability To Develop And Implement Effective Compliance Programs And Processes.
