Rates Trading Product Control, Director

Morgan Stanley is seeking a highly motivated Rates Trading Product Control Director to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing middle office support for all of Morgan Stanley's Rates trading activities. We are looking for someone who has a strong finance background and a thorough understanding of Rates trading products. You will be expected to lead a team of product control professionals and to direct the daily product control activities.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or a related discipline and at least 8 years of experience in the product control or front office of a financial services institution. You will need to be a self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to effectively interact with traders, salespeople, and other stakeholders. You must also have a thorough understanding of the Rates product lifecycle, and the ability to develop and implement new processes and procedures. Responsibilities: • Lead and direct a team of product control professionals in performing daily product control activities • Provide middle office support for Morgan Stanley's Rates trading activities • Monitor and analyze trading activity and performance of Rates products • Develop and implement new processes and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations • Manage the preparation of regulatory reports and financial statements • Proactively identify and address potential areas of risk • Coordinate with other departments to develop and review Rates product lifecycle • Act as a subject matter expert for Rates products and provide advice and guidance to traders, salespeople, and other stakeholders • Liaise with external parties such as regulators and auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements • Manage the performance of the product control team, and provide coaching and training as needed
