Investment Management Legal Counsel

As a key member of the Morgan Stanley Investment Management Legal team, the Investment Management Legal Counsel will provide legal counsel, advice and representation to the Investment Management division and its businesses. We seek a qualified professional with a passion for legal work and a commitment to providing the highest quality service to our clients. The successful candidate must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and be in good standing with the state bar and have at least 4 years of legal experience in finance and/or investments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, FINRA rules and regulations, and other applicable laws and regulations. The Investment Management Legal Counsel will be a trusted advisor and must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, an ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and the drive to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position requires an individual who is highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize workflow and multitask in order to meet tight deadline.
