Fund Accounting – Manager

Morgan Stanley is looking for an experienced Fund Accounting Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for the financial services industry. The Fund Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the fund’s accounting operations, including managing the monthly close process and financial reporting.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least five years of relevant experience. Additionally, the candidate should possess strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to accuracy and detail. The Fund Accounting Manager should be highly organized and have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the fund’s accounting operations, including managing the monthly close process and financial reporting.
2. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the fund’s financial records.
3. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
4. Manage and direct the financial reporting process.
5. Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements.
6. Analyze financial statements and identify trends or areas of concern.
7. Prepare and review financial statements.
8. Coordinate with external auditors and other stakeholders.
9. Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors.
10. Provide technical accounting guidance and support.
