Job Description

Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced Fund Accounting Manager to join our dynamic, innovative team. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated professional with the necessary qualifications to ensure accurate financial reporting, timely delivery of client reports, and effective management of the fund accounting team. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field along with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a financial services environment. Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS is essential, as is the ability to review and interpret financial statements. The successful candidate will also possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and work independently. We are looking for a creative individual with a passion for financial services who can bring enthusiasm and energy to the role. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator, with the ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. The ability to motivate and lead a team is also essential.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage the fund accounting team to ensure timely delivery of client reports and accurate financial reporting.
  2. Ensure compliance with US GAAP and/or IFRS and review and interpret financial statements.
  3. Provide strategic guidance and analysis to the fund accounting team.
  4. Utilize strong problem solving skills to identify and resolve issues.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Provide leadership and motivation to fund accounting team members.
  7. Ensure that staff are properly trained and equipped to perform their roles.
  8. Monitor and review team performance to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  9. Keep up to date with regulatory and legislative changes.
  10. Prepare and present reports to senior management.
