Job Description

Morgan Stanley is seeking an Equity Research - Software Associate to join our team. This position is an exciting opportunity for an experienced researcher with knowledge of software and technology to support the Equity Research team. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with excellent analytical and communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for the software industry. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, and a minimum of two years of experience in software research. Responsibilities:

  1. Research software and technology trends to provide insights and analysis to the Equity Research team.
  2. Analyze financial markets and industry trends to develop investment strategies and ideas.
  3. Develop models and financial analysis to support investment decisions.
  4. Prepare presentations for internal and external audiences.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to understand customer needs and develop solutions.
  6. Monitor and analyze market developments and competitor activities.
  7. Maintain and update databases with relevant information.
  8. Stay current with industry developments and best practices.
  9. Participate in the development and implementation of software research strategies.
  10. Assist in the preparation of reports and other materials.
