
Director - Liquidity Risk

- Develop and implement comprehensive liquidity risk management strategies and policies in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct ongoing assessment and monitoring of liquidity risk exposures and provide recommendations for mitigating measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Treasury, Finance, and Risk Management, to identify and evaluate potential liquidity risks and develop appropriate risk response plans.
- Lead and manage a team of liquidity risk professionals, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities.
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate the potential impact of market and economic events on the organization's liquidity position.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, and rating agencies, to ensure compliance and transparency in liquidity risk management.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management and the Board of Directors on liquidity risk exposures, trends, and performance.
- Continuously monitor and assess liquidity risk framework and processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes related to liquidity risk management and incorporate them into the organization's risk management strategy.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the liquidity risk team and across the organization.
Strong Understanding Of Financial Markets: A Director - Liquidity Risk At Morgan Stanley Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Global Financial Markets, Including Interest Rates, Exchange Rates, And Credit Markets.
Extensive Experience In Risk Management: Candidates Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Risk Management, With A Focus On Liquidity Risk. This Includes Experience In Developing And Implementing Risk Management Frameworks, As Well As Conducting Stress Tests And Scenario Analyses.
Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: As A Director - Liquidity Risk, Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements Related To Liquidity Risk Management, Including Basel Iii, Dodd-Frank, And Other Global Regulations.
Strong Analytical Skills: The Ability To Analyze Complex Data And Identify Potential Risks Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Have Experience In Using Statistical Tools And Financial Models To Evaluate Liquidity Risk Exposures.
Leadership And Communication Skills: This Role Requires Strong Leadership Skills To Manage A Team And Effectively Communicate With Senior Management And Regulators.
