Automation Engineer - Database

Morgan Stanley is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Automation Engineer - Database to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for automating and improving the administration of our databases. You will be expected to design, develop, and maintain automation scripts to facilitate database administration and enable customer-facing applications.To be successful in this role, you must have a degree in Computer Science or related field, and 5+ years of experience in automation or database engineering. You should have proven experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and/or MySQL, and a deep understanding of database architectures and scripting languages. Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts to facilitate database administration and enable customer-facing applications.
2. Utilize SQL Server, Oracle, and/or MySQL to automate and improve the administration of databases.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
4. Monitor and optimize database performance.
5. Develop and implement database backup and recovery plans.
6. Create and maintain documentation of database systems.
7. Maintain a secure database environment.
8. Research and evaluate new database technologies.
9. Collaborate with other teams to ensure successful database operations.
10. Keep up to date with the latest database technologies and trends.
