RN Specialty - Operating Room

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a specialty in Operating Room (OR) to join our team. We are a patient-centered, Magnet-designated comprehensive cancer center dedicated to providing an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is able to work in a fast-paced environment and provide compassionate care for our patients.The successful candidate will possess a strong knowledge of OR nursing practices and procedures, with experience in pre, intra, and postoperative care. In addition to the qualifications listed below, the ideal candidate must have strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities: -Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care to operating room patients -Assess patient needs and develop nursing care plans tailored to the individual -Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols -Provide support and comfort to patients and their families -Identify patient needs and take appropriate action to ensure safe and effective care -Communicate effectively with other healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive team approach -Maintain patient records and documents all care provided -Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care -Remain up-to-date on the latest developments in the operating room nursing field -Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards -Differentiate between normal and abnormal patient responses and take prompt action as required
