Job Description

Moffitt Cancer Center is looking for an experienced and passionate Patient Relations Advocate to join our team. This role is crucial to ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care and that their experience at Moffitt is positive and fulfilling. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, an understanding of patient relations, and the ability to remain calm and professional in difficult situations. The Patient Relations Advocate will be an integral part of our team, and we are excited to meet someone who is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our patients.The successful candidate will have the following required qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in healthcare, social work, or a related field• Minimum of two years of experience working in a healthcare, patient relations, or customer service role• Strong verbal and written communication skills• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions• Familiarity with HIPAA privacy and confidentiality laws• Comfort working with computers and various software programs

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor patient interactions to ensure that patients receive the best possible care and experience at Moffitt.
  2. Respond to patient inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  3. Ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy and confidentiality laws.
  4. Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and inquiries.
  5. Develop and implement strategies to improve patient relations.
  6. Participate in staff meetings and trainings to stay up to date on current policies and procedures.
  7. Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure patient satisfaction.
  8. Assist with other duties as needed.
