
Oncology Medical Interpreter
Moffitt Cancer Center is looking for an experienced Oncology Medical Interpreter to join our team. As the Oncology Medical Interpreter, you will serve as a critical link between our patients and the medical team, contributing to the delivery of high quality healthcare. The ideal candidate for this role is a native Spanish speaker and has a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology, cultural sensitivities, and the nuances of the Spanish language. You will be responsible for providing accurate and timely interpretation of verbal communication between providers, patients, and their families. Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely interpretation of verbal communication between providers, patients, and their families.
- Ensure accuracy in translation of medical terminology, cultural sensitivities, and nuances of the Spanish language.
- Build relationships with patients and families to create a welcoming and comfortable environment.
- Assist in medical care coordination including scheduling of appointments and updating medical records.
- Monitor patient progress and advocate for patients as needed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in training and continuing education as needed.
- Provide support to the medical team and other staff members.
