
Nuclear Medicine Body Imager
Moffitt Cancer Center is looking for an experienced and passionate Nuclear Medicine Body Imager to join our supportive team of medical professionals. The ideal candidate will have a combination of strong clinical expertise and a dedication to patient-centered care.The Nuclear Medicine Body Imager will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging techniques to detect diseases, abnormalities, and other medical conditions. This includes performing PET scans and interpreting images to diagnose and treat patients. This role will require collaboration with other medical professionals to ensure the best course of treatment for each patient.The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in nuclear medicine imaging, a current board certification in nuclear medicine imaging, and a valid state license. A commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate patient care and excellent communication skills are essential to this role.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of nuclear medicine imaging techniques for diagnosing and treating patients.
- Interpret imaging results and collaborate with other medical professionals to determine the best course of treatment for each patient.
- Maintain a current board certification in nuclear medicine imaging and a valid state license.
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care and excellent communication skills.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in nuclear medicine imaging technology.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure patient confidentiality.
- Monitor patient progress and provide follow-up care as needed.
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree In Medical Imaging Or Related Field
Registered With The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Nuclear Medicine
Registered With The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (Nmtcb) Or Equivalent
Current State License Or Certification In Diagnostic Radiology
Understanding Of Basic Radiation Physics
Principles And Practices
Knowledge Of Radiation Safety/Protection Standards And Regulations
Ability To Operate And Maintain Nuclear Medicine Equipment
