MRI Technologist

Moffitt Cancer Center is currently seeking a full-time MRI Technologist to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have a great work-ethic, and a desire to help us in our mission to improve the quality of life for our patients.To be successful in this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications: a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT certification in MRI, and at least three years of experience as a MRI technologist. Additionally, candidates must be able to demonstrate a great attention to detail, excellent customer service, and the ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI scans in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Monitor and adjust MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Interpret doctor’s instructions and prescribe appropriate imaging parameters.
• Prepare and position patients for MRI scans.
• Operate MRI computers and other related equipment.
• Prepare and maintain records of MRI scans.
• Monitor and supervise patient safety during the scan.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Keep up to date with advances in MRI technology.
• Follow established safety guidelines to protect patients and staff.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
• Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
