
Molecular Genomics Reserach Specialist
Moffitt Cancer Center is looking for an experienced and motivated Molecular Genomics Research Specialist to join our dynamic and highly accomplished research team! We are seeking a creative and innovative researcher with an aptitude for molecular biology, genetics, and data analysis; someone who is passionate about improving cancer detection and treatment through cutting-edge research. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the molecular genetics of cancer and a strong commitment to providing the highest quality of care in a fast-paced environment.To be successful in this role, we require a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Molecular Biology, Genetics, or Bioinformatics. The ideal candidate will also have 3 or more years of relevant experience in academic and/or clinical research, including experience processing and analyzing genomic data. A Ph.D. or other advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred. The successful candidate must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team of researchers.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research related to molecular biology, genetics, and data analysis to improve cancer detection and treatment.
- Process and analyze genomic data to support research efforts.
- Present research findings to colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
- Develop protocols and strategies for conducting research in a timely and efficient manner.
- Utilize bioinformatics tools to support research projects.
- Collaborate with the research team to ensure successful completion of research projects.
- Keep up to date with the latest developments in the field of molecular genetics and cancer research.
- Prepare reports, publications, and other documents as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of research activities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.
