Manager - Safety & Security

We are looking for an experienced Manager - Safety & Security to lead our safety and security efforts. The successful candidate will have a critical role in ensuring the safety of our patients, employees, volunteers, and visitors, as well as protecting the property and assets of the organization. The Manager - Safety & Security is expected to have a strong understanding of safety and security protocols, be detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in a safety and security role, and a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience in healthcare security is preferred. Candidates must be knowledgeable in relevant laws, regulations, and standards. Responsibilities:

1. Lead safety and security efforts to ensure a safe environment for Moffitt’s patients, employees, volunteers, and visitors.
2. Monitor and enforce safety and security protocols and regulations.
3. Maintain and protect the property and assets of the organization.
4. Develop and implement strategies to improve safety and security.
5. Investigate safety and security incidents.
6. Educate staff on safety and security protocols and procedures.
7. Act as a liaison between the organization and local law enforcement agencies.
8. Prepare and submit reports on safety and security incidents.
9. Stay up to date on relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
10. Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.
